Relationships Australia Tasmania Annual Report 2022-2023
Some organisations produce an annual report because they have to. Relationships Australia Tasmania produces one because the story is worth telling.
Who they are
Relationships Australia Tasmania is a not-for-profit providing counselling, family services, and community programs across the state. The 2022-23 year was a full one: expanded services for children affected by family violence, a renewed focus on loneliness and community connection, and a CEO sabbatical that tested and ultimately demonstrated the strength of the organisation’s leadership. The report needed to carry all of that without feeling heavy.
The challenge
An annual report covers a lot of ground. Financials, governance, impact stories, staff recognition, strategic direction. The challenge is always the same: present it in a way that feels coherent and human, not like a compliance checklist. People who care about this organisation should finish reading it feeling informed and proud, not fatigued.
A PDF doesn’t do that job well. It doesn’t work on a phone, it doesn’t breathe, and it doesn’t reflect the warmth of the work being described.
What was built
The sixth year of an established platform
This was the sixth consecutive annual report website built for Relationships Australia Tasmania on WordPress. The underlying theme and structure had been refined across previous cycles, which meant the focus this year was on content and design rather than architecture. That accumulated familiarity shows in the result.
Design and content working together
Visual design and layout were handled by Charlie Bravo Design, who shaped the look of the report including photography treatment, typography, and the design direction specific to this edition. The development work involved building that into a working WordPress theme and populating it with the year’s content, making sure the structure supported the story rather than getting in the way of it.
The result is a publication that moves through the organisation’s year with intention. Impact stories, financial summaries, and leadership reflections each have room to land properly.
The result
Relationships Australia Tasmania had a significant year in 2022-23, and the digital report reflects that. It’s readable on any device, navigable without confusion, and designed to give the organisation’s work the presentation it deserves. Six reports in, the process is well-worn in the best sense.
