The Soaring Club of Tasmania is the only gliding club in Tasmania and is based at Woodbury, in the Central Midlands.
The club operates with a Libelle, Twin Astir and an ASK13 type gliders. There are also several private gliders including a Motorfalke, Grob 103C SL, Nimbus and Astir. They are an aero-towing site meaning their gliders are pulled into the air by a powerful tow plane of which is a Pawnee.
They are committed to providing the best gliding experience available in Tasmania. To provide a safe and fun gliding environment, a friendly and enthusiastic club membership AND TO drive the sport in the local area and develop the sport of gliding in Australia.
