Gliding Tasmania is the only gliding club in Tasmania and is based at Tunbridge Airfield, in the Central Midlands.
Woodbury airfield closed in September 2018 and we have recommenced operations from Tunbridge Airfield during October 2019.
The club operates with a Libelle, Twin Astir, and ASK13 type gliders. There are also several private gliders including a Motorfalke and Grob 103C SL. We are an aero-towing site meaning our gliders are pulled into the air by a powerful tow plane of which ours is a Pawnee.
